LONELINESS by Abdulmueed Balogun

loneliness paints us with a new hue of pride,

gives us an eye to see beyond the veil dawning from the face of life,

gives us a mind that's vaster than the sea and deeper than the gut of imagination to muffle the bellow of life trials without shuddering.

Loneliness, to me, is a gift, wrapped with ribbon weaved from the celestial shroud of God.

If well brewed, used to the optimum, you shall croon like a nightingale singing to rainbows,

you shall find joy in your mystery and if ever sorrow tinges your joy,

you shall pacify yourself without aid, from the external world.

Loneliness shatters at first,

but later, picks the shards and mould them into a new being---

who understands the arcane virtue of self-love and sing it tonnes of praises,

into a new being,

who from the water of grief drinks and never wears grimace on his face.

Loneliness makes time precious and beings more prolific,

if well harnessed to the fullness--- loneliness like solitude forges men like iron

into a galaxy of self-sufficiency.
